Entrepreneurship Will Grow You (Whether You're Ready or Not)
It’s not just about business skills
When I first started my business, I thought I was signing up to learn all the things: how to market myself, how to sell without sounding weird, how to price my offers, how to manage my time.
And yep — those are important. They’re part of it.
But what I didn’t realize at the time (and what most people don’t talk about) is that entrepreneurship is also a deep, personal journey. Like… surprise, here comes all your stuff! kind of journey.
The inner work sneaks up on you
No one tells you how much starting a business will bring up.
All the old patterns? They surface.
All the self-doubt? Front and center.
The perfectionism, the control, the fear of being seen — all of it gets louder when you start putting yourself out there.
You start asking questions like:
Who am I outside of my job title?
Can I trust myself to make this work?
Is it okay to do things differently than everyone else?
Entrepreneurship stretches you. And not just in your skillset, it stretches your identity, your confidence, your nervous system.
The isolation is real
One of the hardest parts? Feeling like you're doing it alone.
Not everyone in your life will understand why you’re building something of your own. They might not get why you left the “safe” path or why you're working so hard on something that doesn't look "successful" yet.
And that isolation can be sneaky. Even when you’re surrounded by people, it can still feel like no one really gets it.
This is why community matters
Having a support system of people who actually understand this journey — who see you, who’ve been there — is game-changing.
It’s the difference between spiraling in your head and hearing someone say “same, I’ve been through that too.”
It’s the space where you can be real about what’s working and what’s not, without having to explain or justify it.
It’s where you realize: you’re not alone. You’re not behind. And you’re definitely not doing it wrong.
The truth is...
Entrepreneurship will change you.
It’ll ask you to grow, to get honest, to let go of who you thought you had to be.
It’ll push you and empower you (often at the same time).
And when you walk that journey with a community of women who understand it?
That’s when it all starts to click.
